Also called Franches Montagnes, Freiberger & Jura, the Freiberg horse is a light to middle sized warmblood that was developed in Switzerland around the end of the 19th century.

Erlenbach

Origins

The Erlenbach is an extinct breed that comes from Switzerland, purebred animals disappeared in the 18th century. However, while in it’s heyday after the French Revolution, this breed was well known throughout Europe as an excellent carriage horse of extraordinary breeding.

Also known as the Swiss Halfbred or the Swiss Warmblood, the Einsiedler comes from Switzerland and is named for the Benedictine Abbey of Einsiedeln where it has been lovingly bred since 1064.
