Arum maculatun, Lords-and-Ladies, Wake Robin, Arum

Description

A perennial plant, leaves are shaped like arrowheads and may have purple spots. Flowers have a yellow / brown spadix covered by a light green spathe. Fruit is a fleshy red berry.

Symptoms

Irritation and burning of mouth and throat, diarrhea, colic, muscle tremors, weakness in the back end, collapse.

Danger

Contains coniine-type alkaloids, make animals sick in high quantities, however it is rarely fatal.
