Curly Leafed Dock Sorrel
Names: Rumex crispus, curled dock, sour dock, yellow dock
Description: Perennial weed which grows up to 100 cm. Leaves are oblong with wavy margins. Flowers are small and turn red brown when dry.
Concern level: High due to it’s extreme toxicity.
Toxic parts: Leaves stems and seeds.
Symptoms: Occur within a few hours of ingestion, tremors, weakness, depression, collapse, coma, death.
Danger: Contains soluble oxalates which impairs cell membrane and kidney function. Can be fatal.
