Pretty much everyone wants to believe in the magnificent unicorn. They are one of the mythical creatures that seem to be loved on the collective whole. Robert Vavra did a great job of convincing us all that they just might exist.

There is unicorn mythology from all corners of the world, however, everyone has to make that call for themselves, even though most of us will continue to believe somewhere deep in our hearts. Perhaps that’s how they do exist, because so many people wish it to be true.
A Real Unicorn Skeleton?

This is convincing, although I doubt it’s validity. I was able to find news of a unicorn skeleton exhibition, but it was difficult to tell if it was this that was displayed.
It’s probably just a goat skeleton, but that doesn’t dull it’s cool factor.
Just like a Tiffany’s box, the packaging really sells it. Put a goat skeleton in a box with unicorns on the lid and viola you have unearthed a mythical being.
I’m not a total skeptic, but you’d think if someone found a real live unicorn skeleton there would be news about it somewhere.
The horn on the nose is really what looks fishy, however if it isn’t real it is a well done fake.

I know unicorns are real just like faeries because i am a faerie and i have seen a few unicorns around where i live in a forest.
On the contrary..the horn on the nose (to me) makes it perhaps more viable. It could very well be that there was once more than one euqestrian species running around the earth. Just because this one has a horn on the nose…and it may not be the same unicorn we revere in art…doesnt mean that it wasnt a close relative. In fact…if they were trying to fake it..I would think that they would NOT put 2 horns on it…this is a Bi-Corn, if you will..not a Uni- Corn.
By the way..I also belive in Dragons. It is rather foolish to think that it was impossible. There are FAR TOO MANY accounts of Dragons. Also..it’s completely sane and intelligent to surmise that they were a left over species of Dinosaur/ Reptile and became extinct. One day the Panda and the Cheetah will be extinct…and 500 – 1,000 years from then…will they say they didnt exist? Will the bones of a Panda be readily available for people to see…so that they can believe in them? A bear that looked like a Teddy Bear that you could HUG …so cute and only ate Babmboo? HAH! Never existed!! Tahst what they will say!! We might even begin to attach spiritual signifigance to these animals after they have been gone long enough and we miss them!!
Yes, and like the Dugong-a marine creature with a blubbery face with a tail and nearly buck teeth. Who would beleive that in a hundred years once they have died out. It will be mainly our fault coz of pollution and global warming etc. Dugongs are cute and they rule and rock ur sox off!

Hey Anyone could have just put a fake unicorn in its head. they could have made those bones too. And to people talking bad about the Bible that’s pretty bad… God wrote the Bible. it prooves that God is real. God tells people the words (which the people have to have a special gift, which not very many of us have…) and these people write the Bible. In Bibles it may be different wording, but it still means the same thing. God made you, you have what you call in your body is your soul. It goes to heaven and when you die, your body stays here and your soul goes to heaven, where God is. There is called a rapture it’s were Jesus comes back to earth with his angels and his white horse. But it is NOT a unicorn. And everybody in the universe will here it, and the ones who do not believe in Him shall stay here and be destroyed. That’s why i have God in my heart and he is the BEST possible. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and if he didn’t do that we all wouldn’t be here. Hello. i’m 11, and i do and kinda don’t believe in unicorns. Hey but it says in the Bible Numbers 24:8 it’s talking about the strength of a unicorn. I find it very interesting… = ) i am gonna do more research on it, and give you peeps the news. Maybe you guys can look up on it. i actually draw manga and anime horses, and anything i put my mind to. i recently drew a actual human being and it looks totally real!!!! i wish i could somehow download it so i could show you peeps!!! In Atlantean times, Unicorns still existed, and that was about 12, 560 years ago, before the last pole shift, called Noah’s Great Flood. I know they existed, because I lived there than, and worked on genetic engineering to get rid of the horn. Bad people were spreading rumors that by getting the horn of a Unicorn, it would be possible to live very long lives. The horn was not magical, it did not afford any magical powers to its owner. Finally, horses were being born, without the horns. They were the direct descendants of the Unicorns, Andalusian horses, Arabians, and Lippizan horses.
Even now, occasionally, an Andalusian horse will be born with a small horn, but it falls off before too long. I guess they are throwbacks? There is a reason they are called the Horses of Kings. Because they are. Literally.
The white colored Andalusian horses are the purest lines. And yes, they can be born black and change to white or dappled as they get older. That is what they did back then. It’s just what they do.
The horns were not as long as depicted today, they never got to be more than 8 inches long. They did not swirl either. They were just a regular, slightly curved horn, center forehead. That is why all horses have a swirl of hair in their center forehead. That is where the horn was.
These horses were known for having very long, thick, manes and tails. Many today still do. Like Friesians. They are related as well. You’ve seen their long manes and tails? That is how Unicorns looked.
They did not have hairy legs or hairy chins. Just the mane and tails.

I, for one, am a total atheist, meaning I do not believe in any dieties or gods. If someone tells me something is in the Bible, it means nothing to me. I have to see things to believe them, I want scientific evidence for most things, and it takes quite a bit of convincing for me to believe in something.
I do not believe in mythical creatures such as unicorns, werewolves, vampires, ect. I also do not believe in magic.
Even when I really want to believe in something, to have hope and faith for something for which I have no evidence, I cannot, for the rational part of my mind decides against it.
However, after I read stories about magic or myths, I imagine myself living in that world. It is nice to sometimes escape to your imagination were there are no limits to what can and cannot be.

Unicorns are real. Really real. They can be goats, deer, or any of the many species of antelope. I’ve seen goats with fused horns (only occurs in captive bred animals and is 90% of the time done artificialy) and wild antelope with a genetic defect causing only one horn to grow. It’s very rare for a true one horned animal to have it’s horn in the middle of it’s head, but it can and does happen. A unicorn like the mythical one would have to have massive neck muscles to keep its head with a horn ranging anywhere from 18 inches to 3 feet in length aloft. It would likely have a wider body, and need to stand a good head taller than a clydesdale (oooh I know I mispelled that).

Okay first, Sarah, there ARE pure white horses they have pink skin, light brown hooves and light blue or reddish coloured eyes. Look it up, it is a fact that white horses DO exist.
Next, in that video, the horse was a light grey, appearing white, but it did have a halter on it so it was clearly a fake. And you couldn’t see the head clearly, so it could have been mistaken for a horse with a single horn. But it was for those ho are skeptics from someone who wants the entire world to believe they do exist. I most definitely believe they exist, but only seen by those who truly believe, not just from the heart, but the mind and the soul. It is true, some will say they have seen them, but it may be a hallucination, a result from just waking, or being over-tired. Now, I’m not accusing anybody of lying. Unicorns are a rare sight, but I personally believe they exist everywhere the unicorn is mentioned in myths and legends. Like, I live in Ontario, Canada, and there aren’t many stories, but there is one where a lost girl, by then believed to be dead, was returned home, and she was 22 when she returned, and appeared fine. She told her parents it was all thanks to a “horse”, who TALKED to her and SAID everything would be fine. But the next morning, she woke up and remembered only a horse, and not a talking one. People say the unicorn did this to protect a family of its own. I don’t know if the story is true, but I definitely believe. And I’m fourteen. As for the fact of only 5 unicorns remaining in existence, well, I personally HIGHLY doubt that. But everyone is open to their own opinion.

You guys who keep lying who say you have pet unicorns are full of S***. “I have a pet unicorn and he’s mad at yall…” blah blah blah. If you had a unicorn would you call it a PET? I think not. I do believe they exist but I have a feeling they will never be found unless they wish to be. What makes me believe this is too complex and insane that i’m not going to bother to try to explain it. the classic unicorn, a horse with a horn, is real. there are many things born with a horn that aren’t suppose to have horns. basically a horse can have a mutation or hair being matted and well be like a dread lock

i believe in the unicorn people who may not believe in the unicorn that is what you think many people believe in the unicorn and about 50% of people dont believe. there are pics. of unicorns. and some people may think that those pics. are fake i have seen a real unicorn there peaceful horses with horns. the non believers may think that they just put a fake horn on the horse but my believe is that unicorns are real.

I beleive that Unicorns existed long ago, like when Leanardo De Vinci was alive. The last video was obvously photo shoped and Unicorns are most likely extinct or thase goat things might still be alive. I’m a Unicorn lover and proud of it.

well i herd that there was a unicorn found with pegasus wings underneath a building and i was in the woods with my bro and sisters ,friends when suddenly we saw about 2O goat unicorns charging down a hill and the hill was to steep for them so we had to scare them into a different direction by shooting our toy guns in the air and moving forward i was 1O when this happend so they do exist i love the majestic creaters
I’m more inclined to believe the guy up top. I know that deer also have similar problems with their horns. The people who shot the video of a unicorn obviously strapped a horn to a white horse. There is also similar speculation about dragons being real. They exist in many cultures just as the unicorn. I am more of a believer when it comes dragons because of their dinosaur relatives. However, I don’t think the personality traits that humans have given them are accurate. Most people in those times were superstitious and gave things a little too much credit. There is one more thing I would like to point out. Creating myths and stories about animals was a favorite pass time in relation to the arts/business. It really does remind me of those card games. When they sold a painting of a unicorn or dragon they were able to feed their families. How else would you exploit the ignorant of the day? It’s not like they had a television or radio to check and see if your story was true.

It has been very entertaining reading all of your comments and if I was listening to you my stomach would be going up and down, up and down. Here is my say-Unicorns are real, even though probably ALL these videos and stuff are fake, and I know the majority by far of them are. But you shouldn’t need to see videos and pictures to believe. Unicorns are real, but they are one of those that cannot be caught, on tape or otherwise, except in our hearts.
Look people unicorns are real as is God and dragons and…whatever else there is. I have a picture of my favorite unicorn. They avoid people because there are those who want to destroy them for their powerful horn. There are only a few lucky people in the world that they trust. Look I say since there are many mythological stories they had to come from somewhere they didn’t just randomly pop out. Just because there is no logical explanation dosen’t mean its not real.

Hate to burst everybody’s bubble , but this is not a real Unicorn, the horn and the body are clearly from different eras. The Horn is probably from another animal that died later in history. sorry to ruin every little girls dream; nut trust me, I’m a guy, but honestly, who does not want a Unicorn?
However I do think Unicorns were real, just like dragons, I mean, you see dragons around the world in history, and at that, you see Unicorns all across in European history. So why not, it’s not like Greek mythology, it’s more realistic.

So I really believe in Unicorns and I most certainly do not think that they were goats! They were their own separate species. My friends and I believe that many mythical creatures like unicorns, satyrs (half man half goat), Zeus (as I said my love) and occasionally magical squirrels. Our humanaties class all believes in them (except for the hater Parker). Parker’s a loner by the way!!! So anyways, if you don’t believe in unicorns you are only a hater who dosnt believe in anything! But if you do believe in them then you are a very very very good person and I love you!!! (but not really :D)
