Horse Breed Pages Finished

September 13th, 2007 by Paige

The breeds are finished

Finally I’ve been inspired to complete the information about the breeds listed on my horse breeds page

I’ve listed a brief history, colors, features, and temperament information along with great confirmation photos and important links for each breed, including:
Horse from a Swedish native breed - Nordsvensk, Nordens Ark, April 16 2007

  • Helpful links
  • Links to specific breed listings
  • Breed stud listings
  • Breed art
  • Links to books and informational reading about each breed
  • The future

I’m slowly making my way through the history of horses and I’ll continue to contribute to the breeds as I get through them. Starting with the ancient breeds of the old world and working my way to the newer breeds of North America.

You have really put a lot of work into these pages! My personal favorite was the Morgan page, being a Morgan owner that’s probably not surprising… ;o)

I’m on my second Morgan, a Chocolate Palomino that I’ve had for almost five years now. I had my first Morgan for twenty years - hope I have at least that much time with this one.

      Thanks Suzanne,

Although I don’t find the morgan horse to be the most attractive breed, their versatility makes them a good mount.

For good Morgan information be sure to check out the National Museum of the Morgan Horse.

Of course, I am continually adding to my Horse breed pages, so be sure to check them from time to time too.
