Horse Stamps
There are many ways civilization has immortalized the horse. From art to coins to stamps, our respect for the strength & beauty of these animals is all around us in symbolic form.
As with most art forms I start researching, I was surprised at how many stamps out there bear the likeness of our equine friends.
So Many Horse Stamps
I’ve collected enough to fill up far more than one post. So this is the first in a series celebrating the world of horses sent through the mail.

The variety of artwork is staggering and I had a hard time limiting myself. These posts reflect only a small fraction of horse stamps that exist.

Awesome – two things that I love =) Stamps and horses!
Very cool.
I used to collect stamps, and when I sold my stamp collection (I ran out of money and time to grow it!) I kept the horse stamps. There are some real beauties in it, including a set of paintings of Arabian horses that are so lifelike and graceful (can’t remember offhand which country they are from). It’s great to see the noble equus honoured thus.
