1st Annual Plumas-Sierra Classic Horse Show

Plumas-Sierra Classic Horse ShowSaturday June 5th 2010 is the first year for the Sierra Classic Open Horse Show. The show is sanctioned by the Nevada State Horseman’s Association (NSHA-HDA) & the California State Horseman’s Association (CHSA).

Don’t let that scare you though, this show is open to riders of all ages & skill levels. Those who are members of the above associations will earn points towards their end of the year award programs.

Open to All Horse Lovers

In the spirit of an open show, there will be classes for both the English & Western discipline, including an trail course open to all riding styles.

Horse lovers of all ages can participate in everything from lead line classes to more serious competition.

Award ribbons will be given to 1st-6th place in each class & at the end of the show there will be three different ‘High Point’ awards, one for English, one for Western and one for overall points. High Point prizes include horse theme goodies and an engraved award.

Stay for Awhile

The Plumas County Fairgrounds also have a beautiful campground with showers & RV hookups for those who prefer to camp close to the grounds. There will also be stalls & bedding available for those who have to travel far distances and competitors are welcome to come early if they want to let their mounts settle in.

Kick Off Event

The event kicks off Friday night with a dinner and dance to the tunes of Nevada Hazzurd on the Plumas Bank Stage. Tickets are available to competitors in their packet and to the general public at the door.
