Unplanned Dismounts

Anyone who has spent time on a horses back knows what it feels like to fall off of one. In fact, it is said that a true test of a rider is how many times they’ve eaten dust. Here are a few riders who most of us can sympathize with – most of them are about to eat dust.

Not An Easy Shot

It is incredibly hard to get good shots of horses jumping fences, which makes the likelihood of catching an unplanned dismount much slimmer indeed.

Thanks to the photographers whose patience made these images possible.

Not Too Serious

Of course accidents are no laughing matter, but it is a risk we run when attempting to ride animals of prey. Not all of these look like they resulted in a *dismount*, and here’s hoping everyone is ok.

Admit it, You’ve Been There

We all have, which is why it’s ok to crack a smile when you see someone else there. After all, it is the risk we all run when we get onto a horses back. Without that risk riding wouldn’t be nearly as exciting.

Number one is EXACTLY what I did a couple weeks ago, except that I forgot to put my hands out in front of me, and I hit the ground with my face. It hurt pretty bad, I even have a scar….

  2. Crazy about ridding

I’ve had at least 7 falls and still have a bruise from the latest:)The last one defiantly looks the worst!
