Bev Doolittle Horse Art

Sacred Ground

One of my all time favorite artists, Bev Doolittle has a unique perspective on equine art. She has been making me smile since I was a kid. Her work is an interesting blend of Native American art, animal art and a dash of optical illusion.

For those of you who don’t know her, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites. (The piece at the top of the page is titled Sacred Ground).

I have been looking for this artist or 8 years but did not know her name. Although this isn’t the picture I have seen, it is the same style. I can now concentrate on this wonderful artist.

She has such a great style, I like that you have to look so deep to see all the detail.
If I’ve missed one of her horse works that you know of, please let me know and I’ll add it here.

I saw this painting and others at a peddlers fair in CoarseGold..was instantly hooked. Musta stood there staring at the different paintings forever tryin to find all the hidden images….I was staring at a particular one for awhile, then the gentleman selling the pix told me, “There arent any hidden pix in that one”…lmao!!
