Horse Breeds Beginning With F

Horse breeds that start with FEach letter of the horse breed alphabet we visit gets them one step closer to being finished. (I’ll have to keep writing the pages if I want to keep writing these posts).

If you haven’t seen some of the earlier letters of the alphabet be sure to check them out too A | B | C | D | E. Today we take a closer look at the breeds that begin with the letter F, from the pure blooded Faroe Pony who live remote enough to be almost untouched by outside blood to the elegant Furioso named for it’s flagship stud.

The F’s are a fun category, they contain one of the widest varieties so far. From one of the smallest to one of the biggest.

Big Daddy F’s

The ancient breeds are among the most interesting and many of the northern animals have retained their bloodlines & characteristics. The handsome Fell Pony who carries Tarpan blood, & the hardy Fjord Pony that still retains many of the physical characteristics of it’s ancient ancestors.

Personal Favorite F’s

Today some of my favorites are among the oldest in the letter, but who can blame me? My favorites are the tiny Falabella the living dream of a single Irishman; the lively Finnhorse whose name sounds as perky as they look; the spry Florida Cracker considered the perfect cowpony until cows got too big; & the majestic Friesian perhaps the handsomest guy in town.
