Today’s interview is with a non-English speaker, Claudia answered in German and I’ve translated as best I can into English for my readers.

Where I am
à Royan La Palmyre in France on the Atlantic, an hour from Bordeaux.

When did you first painting horses?
Already always….so for a long time I to think can!

What is your favorite race to use as a subject?
English full blood and all horses with temper and a character!

Who are your main influences?
Stubbs, de Dreux & Munnings

Zambezi

Have you (or did you) have an animal that the muse behind your work?
Yes, an English Thoroughbred, black, wild and beautiful!

Do you have any secret rituals you do, help you to get in the zone for your art?
Switch music off, alone, feel the horses.

Eventing Horse

Is there a certain place that inspires you?
The sea! Endless space, freedom.

What impact do you think the Internet will have on the arts in general?
A great many contacts internationally!!!!!

Has it had an effect on you?
YES! Customers from England, New Zealand & Italy.

What is your personal favorite?
Always the last one, because one becomes constantly better. 😉

Claudia's Work

Would you ever sell it?
Not really, but on certain occasions, to make others happy & sometimes years later.

What will inspire you?
Other artists who paint horses and show their spirit!

Working on something new?
OIL, not so long but with much enthusiasm and, above all, a lot of work, a lot of learning, a long way and the journey is the goal!

I fly to Canada in June to Carolle Beaudry to look to and learn!
