Hello,

My name is Rae-Anne LaPlante. I am planning to produce a documentary on Sable Island.

Most famously known are the wild horses of Sable Island. Descendants from the 1700’s, a population nearing 500 horses, roam freely without any human interference or fear of predators. I believe this has instilled an unparallel kindness in them.

I promised myself whatever I do with my life; I will do with all my heart and inspire positive change. This is my way of giving to a place that has inspired me to look beyond myself and discover what truly is important to me. Appreciate something for what it is, respect its difference, and never alter its beauty.

I want to bring Sable Island to people, so they can learn about it and experience its beauty without damaging its fragile ecosystem.
