Description

Work on your ranch in return for accommodation and food

Hi
My name is Shenée, from Auckland New Zealand (26yrs, F) and I am very interested in working on your ranch in return for accommodation and food and would like to see if I can discuss this with you further please?
1. Outstanding Customer Service Skills.
2. Confident Horse Rider since the age of 9yrs.
3. Passionate about horses and outdoor farm lifestyle. Keen learner.
4. Currently working on Horse Trekking Farm: they have described me as being 11/10 for enthusiasm, extremely good with customers and demonstrate remarkable initiative.
5. I am extremely hard working and believe I will be a great asset for a ranch farm.
6. An extremely quick learner, intelligent with a lot of initiative and can ‘fit right in’ very easily, with my kind nature and especially with my enthusiasm and sense of humour!

Main Enquiry – Work on your ranch in return for accommodation and food:
I would like to enquire about staying on a Ranch in Montana for a lengthy duration of time, anytime from 4 weeks to 4 months per ranch (try different ranches etc), and do voluntarily work in return for food and accommodation?
I am planning to travel overseas and experience Treks, Cattle Ranching etc as I love horses, the outdoors and thrive in the environment while working hard. I’ve always wanted to be a cowgirl!

Horse Riding Experience:
I am passionate about horses, a confident rider (riding since 9yrs old), went to Horse Riding School, and grew up on Farms with horses and animals.
I would like to expand my knowledge, and learn everything I can. My life long goal is to live / run a farm with horses in New Zealand. Due to this long term goal I am in intently interested in every facet of the experience.

Customer Service for Horse Riding Vacationers:
Just as important, I have notably excellent customer service skills and patience when it comes to helping people enjoy the horse riding experience.
I’ve even learnt Japanese sayings to help customers trot, to explain “squeeze with your legs”!

Currently working as a Leader at Horse Trekking Farm in New Zealand:
I work 7 days a week (day & night) at the moment; hard work comes naturally to me when I love what I do. I work fulltime in the city Mon-Fri, teach Zumba at night, and I’m currently working on a Horse Trekking farm during the weekend from 7.30am – 6.30pm and understand a lot of work is involved and love it! I’m often working late into the darkness and they have to insist I come in for dinner!
The Horse Trek farm is called Horse Riding Warkworth (1 hour north of Auckland); I’m doing extremely well. I was working as a volunteer for free then they offered me employment as I have been so helpful. I also assist them with their marketing efforts to get new customers.
After only a few weeks I became a trekking guide Leader, compared to some girls who have been there for several years. My initiative, enthusiasm, pre-emptive problem solving, common sense and customer service facilitated this.

About Shenée / Background:
Lastly, a little bit about me, I’m South African born, grew up on farms and started horse riding at the age of 9. I studied at University for 5 years doing a Degree in both Economics (Awarded Top Graduate), and Marketing. Work full time and also teach Zumba in the evening 3 times a week. I’m a country girl at heart and thrive in the environment.
