Horses on Google Earth – In Your Browser

Horses on Google Earth
I’ve been hard at work on my latest project which I’m hoping will be helpful to horse people everywhere, Horses on Google Earth. The idea is to use Google’s platform for the mapping of equestrian locations, stables, race tracks, rescues, tack stores, events, artists, photographers, you name it.

So far I’ve started with stables & rescues in the US & a long list of race tracks worldwide.

What To Expect

Using google earth in a browser window does require downloading a plugin into your browser. It’s a google plugin, I’ve just placed a useful layer of information over the top. There is a quick instructions page that will help everyone get started.

Once you’ve got the plugin you can see the map & all of the markers I’ve added. Each marker represents a location and contains basic information including address, phone number & website.

I Need HELP

This project has already taken a large chunk of time to put together & I’m hoping that my readers will contribute their two cents. Anyone who wants to be listed under the stable, race track or rescue categories, please either leave your info in the comments below or shoot me an email.

*What I Need
1. Name of your place
2. Address & phone number
3. Web address details

Optional
If you have a logo, an image and/or a short description of your place I’ll gladly add that too.

Feedback Anyone?

I’ve already gotten some feedback and would love to hear more. The browser version is still very new which means it can (and probably will) have bugs. Plus I’m still learning about it & working to make my system more effective.

*I’m only using information that can be found online on public websites. Any information you provide on your location will be made public.
