As I get older, I’ve become more focused on leaving the world a better place than I found it. A large part of that is using & consuming environmentally conscious products and allowing that to overflow into the lives of our animals.

Natural horse care options are gaining in popularity, as they should because horses are natural too. Feeding GM-free is as important as using products that don’t pollute your (& your animal’s) surroundings.

While it’s not always an easy lifestyle, it is an infinitely rewarding one & your animals deserve your vigilance. Read the ingredients on everything you use!

Keeping It Real

There are a number of resources online (& off) for those who want to learn how to ensure that their animal remain as natural & green as they can be. Some offer print copies, some offer online subscription & some offer both…I say stick with the online subscription – paper mags aren’t very environmentally friendly and they cost more.

Equine Wellness Magazinee This is a large wellness magazine developed by Redstone Media Group who runs several wellness mags. They offer online & print subscriptions as well as a variety of online resources for non-subscribers.

Holistic Horse Magazine was started by equine professionals with the intention of educating the public about more natural & holistic options for horse care & nutrition. They offer a variety of tips, expert opinions & product reviews to non-subscription holders as well.

Natural Horse Magazine is a family owned, private company and developed by their personal experience with an ailing animal. A holistic treatment approach was so beneficial to their animal they decided to share what they’d discovered with the world.

Natural Horse Planet Magazine is a magazine that boldly states “It’s time to put the horse before the rider!” and they offer editions in both English & French in the hopes of teaching people to do just that. Unfortunately this one looks like it’s a print only quarterly mag.

Natural Horsemanship Magazine provides practical info to horse owners & lovers with a strong focus on a natural methods & products. They’ve been providing said advice for 10 years and offer both online & print versions.
