The job involves caring and assisting with training race and dressage horses in a small boutique training yard in the Hunter Valley (approximately 7-8 racehorse and 2 dressage horses in work).
Assistance with stable duties, grooming, riding and caring for the horses is involved, with approximately 6 work hrs per day (30 hrs per week - chance of more if interested in earning more money). Some trackwork is involved, so applicant must be a competent and confident rider who is willing to obtain their trackwork license (with our assistance if necessary).
The manager is a young female trainer who is interested in exercise physiology and developing new training methods for horses. Some research being done on Equine HR during exercise, so applicants with inquisitive minds and enthusiasm would be essential.
