    A teacher only will also be considered, this would be only a part time position, For a full time position you would also need to ride and do general yard work. The teacher needs to be experienced, ideally have some qualifications, Someone who has an interest in improving both client and horse, and can actually do so. Need to have a good knowledge of horse care, basic dressage and flat work. Understand how a horse should work, Including leg yielding, shoulder in. Have good knowledge of jumping, excersises to improve rider and horse, be aware of distances, and be very aware of not giving ponies bad habbits. The teacher will also need to take out treks, and clients will need to see that the teacher can ride, control and improve their horse. An all round person, who can assist in all aspects in the opperation of a small but busy equestrian centre. Teaching, bringing in and out ponies, grooming, sweeping and cleaning, tack maintance, tacking up. Feeding. Excercising and schooling horses/ponies. Assist with breking ponies/horses. This is a very varied yard, where you can get experience with numerous types and tempermants.     Work in an equestrian centre, helping with all tasks. Mucking out, sweeping, bringing in and out horses, Grooming and tacking up. Excercising and schooling horses and ponies.You need to be fit, used to regularly riding, experienced in riding a variety of ponies and small horses. Will need to be aware of how the horse is working, and able to ride to keep horse working correctly, and capable of improving green, and innexperienced horses in the basic paces. Definately aware of leading legs and diagonals.You will need to have jumping experience, and be able to ride an innexperienced horse over low fences, able to keep the horse straight and not let him run out to the side, and be balanced enough to then jump the horse from a standstill if necessary. You need to be experienced enough that you dont frighten the horse due to loss of balance or holding on by the reins. You will also need to be able to hack out on your own, able to keep the horse going forward even when he is frightned and not let horse turn around.Putting horses on and off horse walker. Lunging horses. Helping clients. Tack cleaning. Keeping all areas clean, tidy and organized. The ideal canditate will be well able to ride and have had experience riding a variety of horses/ponies. Including young, innexperienced and nervious horses. Will also have jumping experience, and also ideally some teaching experience. The Canditate will need the have some experience working in a yard and be well aware of the duties involved. The candiate need to have innitative, and be able to see and understand what need to be done, and able to do tasks quickly and in a logical order. This position involves hard work but there is lots of oppertunity to gain experience and an insight in to many aspects of the irish horse industry.
